With a new trend of new Super Mario Bros games , there is bound to be one for every Nintendo console out there. For the Nintendo Wii, there is the Wii version, which features a 3 dimensional world with lots of classic game play in the form of mini games. Old features still exist and it's also without doubt a Super Mario Bros game . However, there is nothing more gratifying than an update of the original Super Mario 64 for a newer gaming system.
First off the bat, there is the graphics upgrade. The graphics does not stray too far from the original graphics of the original version, however the upgrade is extremely noticeable. The colors are brighter and the game play graphics are much smoother. The advances in technology is not to be ignored.
Then there is also the improvement in game play. The original Super Mario 64 game required little thinking and finger jamming. However, the updated version for the Nintendo Ds Lite requires a whole lot more thinking to proceed through the levels. More than a few tries are needed for the harder levels, just it was intended to be.
The mini games are also a great plus to the game. No longer is the original game oriented solely on jumping around, smashing little Koo pas and jumping through ditches. This game is now laced with mini games that grab the attention of the gamer and give the user little breaks from the repetitive game play of the Mario game world.
Certainly, there are also cons to a good game. You will notice that the sound is not of the highest quality. Thin sound effects are not uncommon. There is also the problem with control. Unlike the old, classical version, the controls are not as effective and tight, leading to constant mess ups on the gamers part.
Just like new Super Mario Bros games , the Super Mario 64 for the DS is high quality and definitely worth buying, either for personal enjoyment or for collection. After play, store the games in a bench ottoman to keep them safe and sound.
